Anyone who considers himself a healthy person will get the shock of his life if he were to be diagnosed with a very serious disease. I consider myself healthy in the sense that I hardly get sick, so being diagnosed with lung cancer (with hardly any symptom) came as a surprise to me and my family.

Q: Can you share how you met your husband, Gilbert?

A: I and some friends formed a cancer support group in 1993 called “Survivor’s Cheers Society”. We help people live with cancer. We have regular get-togethers with other cancer patients, fellow survivors and their respective families.
