What comes to mind when you hear “La Mesa Dam”? A table? Close but not quite.  It is the main source of water supply for Metro Manila. However, it is also now an ecopark with facilities such as boating, flower beds, and many varieties of plants and trees.

Last March 15, 2009 at seven o’clock in the evening, about 170 Christians from fifteen different churches all over Metro Manila and Luzon Province attended CCOWE’s S.A.F.E. (Singles Accountable For Each other) event which was held onboard M.V. DOULOS in South Harbor, Pier 13, Manila.

If we are to classify people by marital status, we can group them in four categories, namely: (1) single and eager to get married, (2) single and happy, (3) married but unhappy, and lastly, (4) married and happy. Most single Christians belong to the first category. Many are dissatisfied and misled to believe that marriage is the key to their satisfaction or contentment.
